Currently the Science On A Postcard Etsy shop is running as normal. I am using Royal Mail click and drop to buy postage online, and then popping all of the orders in my local postbox on my daily walk to make sure I am minimising social contact as far as possible. Currently, Royal Mail remains open for business as usual, though they are understandably experiencing some delays as a result of staff shortages due to sickness and/or isolation.
Please bear with me through this very strange period – I really appreciate your support, and will do my best to make sure that your order reaches you in good time.
‘Together We Will Find a Cure For Cancer’ soft enamel lapel pin in a soft blue colour with black coloured plating and pink cancer ribbon.
Pin badge measures approximately 32mm in width, and has a deluxe pin backing that will ensure your pin stays safely wherever you choose to put it.
Comes with ‘Science On A Postcard x Rukia Henry’ backing.
This pin badge has been designed and created in collaboration with Rukia Henry.
Rukia is a PhD graduate student researcher at Rutgers University, New Jersey. I have followed Rukia’s blog (www.lifewithrukia.com/)and Instagram pages (www.instagram.com/lifewithrukia) for the last few years, admiring her drive and passion for science from afar.
Earlier this year Rukia lost her Mom to breast cancer, and she came to me asking if we could create a pin badge to honor her memory.
We’ve been working on this pin design for the last few months, and I’m so delighted that it’s not out for you all to see!
Proceeds from the sale of these pins will be split equally between the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (ww5.komen.org), and the Metavivor Foundation (www.metavivor.org). Both organisations also take donations via their website, so if the pin isn’t for you we would very much encourage you to donate anyway.
Thank you to Rukia for working with me on this project.
See what else we’re up to..
